TIPA Appoints Two New Non-Executive Directors

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced on the 5th that it has appointed two new non-executive directors to lead institutional management innovation and oversight, as well as private and field-centered support projects for technological innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises.
New director Kim Min-jung is a distinguished scholar in the field of chemistry and has diverse experience in organizational management and business strategy development at IBM and SK Telecom, as well as in discovering, mentoring, and investing in promising venture companies.
New director Lee Dong-beom is a successful entrepreneur who founded an information security specialized company and led it to be listed on KOSDAQ, recognized as a model case for deep-tech SMEs. He is also at the forefront of advancing the domestic information security industry.
President Lee Jae-hong stated, "By gathering the experience and wisdom of the new directors, TIPA will strive to develop into a public institution trusted by the people and to more effectively promote technological innovation and digital transformation in small and medium-sized venture companies."

TIPA’s new non-executive directors were selected through a process that began in August, including applicant recruitment, qualification and job competency verification, and the Minister of SMEs and Startups appointed the two suitable candidates. Their term is from the 4th of this month until October 3, 2024, for two years.
