Gyeongbuk Province Hosts On- and Offline Job Fair... 1,000 Hires from 80 Companies
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Gyeongbuk Province will hold online and offline job fairs on the 5th to alleviate the recruitment difficulties of local companies.
The on-site fair, held under the name "2022 Gyeongbuk Job Fair," will take place at four locations: Yeungnam University Cheonma Art Center in Gyeongsan on the 7th, Lotte Hotel in Ulsan on the 11th, POSTECH in Pohang on the 17th, and EXCO in Daegu on the 19th.
Additionally, the online job fair will be held from the 7th to December 31st on the Gyeongbuk non-face-to-face job fair website, and the Gyeongbuk Province specialized recruitment hall specially opened on Saramin, a famous domestic online recruitment platform, will be held continuously from the 7th to the 30th of next month.
Unlike last year, when offline events were held on a relatively small scale due to COVID-19 quarantine measures, this year, the number of participants and participating companies has been significantly increased according to the relaxed quarantine guidelines.
Considering job seekers who find it difficult to attend due to geographical constraints, each fair will broadcast company recruitment briefings live on YouTube from 2 p.m.
The on-site fair will operate face-to-face booths with company HR managers directly participating and non-face-to-face booths using video conferencing systems to introduce job roles and assist with job applications through on-site interviews.
The live broadcast of company recruitment briefings using the YouTube channel will be hosted by a professional MC, with company recruiters appearing to introduce the company's status, vision, key projects, and recruitment process, and conduct real-time Q&A. Additionally, a quiz and answer gifticon event has been prepared to increase participant engagement.
Lectures by 'Jacob (AND Feat. HR Managers)' and 'Writer Kim Doyoon (Kim Writer TV),' which will inspire hope and courage in the youth, are prepared to heat up the event atmosphere.
At the POSTECH International Hall, where the job fair will be held on the 17th, the "Let's Run Again! Senior Talk Concert" will be held simultaneously.
This talk concert was prepared to encourage employment and start-up intentions among the senior generation experiencing employment crises due to changes in the labor environment caused by the steel industry crisis in the eastern region of Gyeongbuk and the prolonged economic recession.
The lecture will be delivered by various instructors, including PD Seo Soo-min, who hosted the Gag Concert.
A Gyeongbuk Province official said, "About 80 companies will hire about 1,000 people at the on-site job fairs held at four locations."
