Kakao Expands Creative Platform for Brunch Writers with 'AI VOD Class'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Following paper books, e-books, and audiobooks, the creative stage for Brunch writers has expanded to include ‘online classes’.
Kakao’s content publishing platform Brunch announced on the 5th that it has provided Brunch writers with a new creative stage called the ‘AI VOD Class.’
In February, Kakao collaborated with the online class platform ‘Class101’ to conduct the ‘Brunch Book AI Class Project.’ This contest supports writers in producing their Brunch books as AI VOD classes. The advantage is that writers can open online classes using artificial intelligence (AI) voice technology without needing to appear, produce, or edit the content themselves. During the one-month application period, over 3,500 Brunch books were submitted, and eight were finally selected and turned into classes.
Kakao has supported creators’ broad creative activities through Brunch. It has provided various opportunities for Brunch writers to expand their secondary works, including paper book, e-book, and audiobook publishing projects, crowdfunding, and OTT (over-the-top) platform storyteller contests. The ‘Brunch Book AI Class Project’ attracted attention as it created a unique creative outlet for Brunch writers.
The award-winning works cover diverse topics such as ▲ Practical insights into data science learned from global companies ▲ The world of ETFs from beginner to advanced in one go ▲ Memo changes your life! Everything about memos ▲ Life changes just by changing your words! Self-esteem communication methods learned thanks to a foreign husband ▲ Office workers, do accounting! Turning financial statement numbers into weapons ▲ The secret of selected companies! Customer experience design process A to Z ▲ Tips from a senior CX expert! A practical guide to customer experience for young CX planners ▲ Becoming an expert with my content while working at a company, covering themes like economy, data, and business.
These classes can be purchased and viewed on the Class101 website and app within the ‘Brunch Book AI Class Project page.’
Osungjin, head of Kakao’s Story Planning Department, said, “We are pleased to connect Brunch writers and readers by providing a new creative outlet called AI VOD,” adding, “We will continue to actively support the rebirth of raw Brunch books into various secondary works.”
