Seventeen employees from the Subi-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, the Resident Welfare Division, and the Forest and Greenery Division helped with rice harvesting at the farm of Nam ○○ (67 years old) in Suhari, Subi-myeon. The farm suffered damage from Typhoon Hin Nam No in September, causing the rice to be completely lodged, making mechanical harvesting difficult. Unable to find labor, the farmer was manually standing the rice stalks one by one to harvest.
The Suhari farm in Subi-myeon that received labor assistance said, "I was about to give up on this year's farming because I simply could not handle harvesting the rice alone, but the Yeongyang-gun staff helped me like this, which gave me great strength, and I am truly grateful."
