Deputy Governor, KAI Raided... Defense Acquisition Program Administration Colonel Accused of Leaking Confidential Information
[Asia Economy Military Specialist Reporter Yang Nak-gyu] The Military Security Support Command conducted a search and seizure at the headquarters of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, and its office in Seoul.
According to the Security Support Command on the 30th, Colonel A, former head of the helicopter project team at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), is under investigation by the Security Support Command for leaking military information related to helicopters to KAI in exchange for employment after his discharge in 2019 while still active duty.
After his discharge that year, he was employed as an executive at a KAI subsidiary, and it was investigated that he later received related confidential information from his successor, Colonel B. Colonel B is also under investigation.

The Security Support Command recently also searched DAPA to verify related materials. The Security Support Command had previously conducted a search and seizure at KAI and others in July last year regarding this case and has carried out another search and seizure to secure additional materials.
