Jindo-gun Signs MOU to Strengthen Cooperation for Improving Living Conditions in Island Areas
Jindo-gun and Dadohaehaesang National Park Western Office Agree on Administrative and Economic Support
[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do recently signed a business agreement with the Western Office of Dadohaehaesang National Park to strengthen cooperation for improving living environments in island areas.
Through this business agreement, Jindo-gun and the Western Office of Dadohaehaesang National Park plan to enhance cooperation including administrative and economic support such as permits and approvals based on project plans promoted in villages within Dadohaehaesang National Park.
They also aim to preserve the natural ecosystem and landscape of island villages in the park area, improve residents' living and income infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for island residents by realizing carbon-neutral villages.
The business agreement ceremony was attended by Kim Hee-su, Jindo County Governor, Ahn Dong-soon, Director of the Western Office of Dadohaehaesang National Park, and about 10 other officials.
In Jodo-myeon, Jindo-gun, among the 28 inhabited islands, 22 inhabited islands except Gasado, Hyeoldo, Gwangdaedo, Songdo, Jujido, and Yangdeokdo are designated as part of Dadohaehaesang National Park.
