The Young Researcher Award is an academic award given to outstanding new researchers who have entered the field of medical physics, selected through a rigorous review by the Korean Society of Medical Physics.

Dr. Kim presented a paper in April this year titled "Development of a 3D Gel Dosimeter for Verification of Radiation Transmission in a Magnetic Resonance Linear Accelerator (MR-Linac), which combines a linear accelerator (Linac) and MRI into a single device." Dr. Kim, who proposed a new evaluation method for radiation measurement, was highly praised for contributing to the improvement of accuracy in radiation therapy and was honored with the award at this academic conference.
