Mu-hyup Hosts 'Business Networking Event Inviting Ambassadors from 11 Arab Countries'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Koo Ja-yeol, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), promoted active economic cooperation between Korea and the Arab region at a business networking event hosted for ambassadors from 11 Arab countries.
On the 29th, KITA announced that it held the "Business Networking Event for Ambassadors from 11 Arab Countries in Korea" at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jangchung-dong.
KITA organized this event to foster active economic cooperation between Korea and the Arab region. In his dinner speech, Chairman Koo stated, "The Republic of Korea has experience shifting its industrial focus from light industries to heavy industries such as automobiles, shipbuilding, and petrochemicals, and then to semiconductors and electronic products. Now, we are promoting a transition to advanced industries such as bio, ICT, and next-generation nuclear power."
He added, "It is encouraging that Arab countries are actively pursuing industrialization policies such as developing manufacturing, hydrogen, and renewable energy industries in preparation for the post-oil era of carbon neutrality. If Korea's industrialization experience combines with the potential of Arab countries, it can create great synergy," he emphasized.
