"Single Pot Still Leader" Pernod Ricard Launches Irish Whiskey 'Redbreast' in Korea
Redbreast 12 Years, Matured Over 12 Years in Bourbon Cask and Sherry Cask Respectively
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Pernod Ricard Korea announced on the 29th that it will officially launch 'Redbreast 12 Years,' the leading single pot still whiskey produced in a unique Irish method, in the domestic market.
Single pot still whiskey is a distinctive Irish whiskey distillation method that uses a mixture of malted barley and unmalted barley, distilled in a copper pot still. Redbreast is a representative brand that has preserved this traditional production method and continues the legacy of Irish single pot still whiskey.
By using both malted and unmalted barley, it offers a harmonious blend of the sweet aroma from the malt and the nutty scent from the barley, delivering a more diverse taste and aroma. It boasts a unique smoothness achieved through three distillation processes exclusively using copper pot stills.

The product introduced for the first time in Korea is 'Redbreast 12 Years.' It undergoes a marrying process by blending whiskey aged for at least 12 years in bourbon casks and sherry casks, offering a perfect balance of spicy and sweet fruit aromas, along with subtly detectable smoky notes that provide a richer flavor. The company explains that the complex finish experienced after the smooth throat feel is the greatest charm of this product.
