This agreement was established to enhance consumer rights by providing effective treatment and compensation support for patients involved in rent-a-car traffic accidents. The Korea Association of Korean Medicine Hospitals will provide optimal and high-quality medical services based on accurate diagnoses necessary for patients' swift return to daily life, while the National Rent-a-Car Mutual Aid Association will support patients to receive smooth treatment through active treatment guarantees.
Furthermore, both organizations plan to jointly respond to the abuse of rent-a-car automobile insurance. They agreed on eradicating cases of insurance abuse, such as intentional accidents using rent-a-cars, which have been increasing recently. They also decided to form a regular consultative body to maintain continuous cooperation and establish an information exchange system to prevent rent-a-car insurance abuse.
