Hyundai Card Signs Export Contract for Credit Card IT System with Japanese Card Industry
Credit Card IT System 'H-ALIS'... Contract Signed with Japan's GMO Payment Gateway and Others
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hyundai Card has exported its credit card IT system, 'H-ALIS (Hyundai Advanced Library Card Information System)', to the Japanese credit card market.
On the 28th, Hyundai Card announced that it signed a contract with Japan's comprehensive payment service company 'GMO Payment Gateway (PG)' and others to sell the credit card IT system H-ALIS to new credit card operators in Japan.
GMO Payment Gateway is a company that provides and manages credit card business operation systems in Japan. Based on H-ALIS, GMO Payment Gateway plans to sell systems, consulting, and operation services necessary for credit card product and service operations.
H-ALIS is a core IT system that embodies Hyundai Card's know-how accumulated over more than 20 years in the credit card business. It safely processes up to 200 million card transactions per month in real-time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, while simultaneously handling large-scale purchasing, sales, deposits, and withdrawals. In particular, the system can be flexibly reconfigured and applied according to customer and product characteristics, enabling quick responses even when new products are launched.
GMO Payment Gateway is known to highly value the advanced platform H-ALIS for its ability to flexibly respond not only to changes in credit card product and service strategies but also to digital transformation.
This contract was achieved through Hyundai Card's active market research and marketing on the credit card business in Japan. In Japan, where cash usage rates are high, the government is directly working to increase 'cashless' payments. Accordingly, the number of companies entering the credit card business is also increasing.
