Famous Composer and Singer Arrested by Police on Multiple Drug Use Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A famous composer and singer was arrested by the police on suspicion of repeatedly using drugs.
On the 27th, the Nowon Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man in his 40s, Mr. A, the day before on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
The police apprehended Mr. A around 8 p.m. the previous day at a hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on suspicion of repeatedly using drugs. A rapid drug test showed that Mr. A tested positive for drugs.
The police reportedly detected evidence of Mr. A's drug use while investigating drug use charges against another suspect. Mr. A and the suspect under investigation are said to be acquaintances.

A police official stated, "We will review applying for an arrest warrant after determining the circumstances of the drug use."
