Orbitec Signs Radiation Management Service Contract Worth 20.2 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Orbitech announced on the 26th that it has signed a radiation management service contract worth approximately 20.2 billion KRW over three years with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power for Units 1 and 2 of the Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant. This large-scale service contract was secured just two months after winning the radiation management service contract for Units 3 and 4 of the Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant in July.
Orbitech will perform radiation management services for Units 1 and 2 of the Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant, following its work on Units 3 and 4. The contract period is three years until September 2025, extending the previous two-year radiation management service by one year, resulting in an increase in both duration and contract amount.
An Orbitech official stated, "By consecutively securing radiation management service contracts within the Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant, we have secured a stable cash flow," adding, "The bidding results in the third quarter of this year were good, and we plan to participate in multiple service bids in the fourth quarter as well."
They further added, "We will do our best to enhance the image of safe nuclear power generation."
