[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City announced that from the 26th until tomorrow, a total of 32 foreign diplomatic envoys from 29 countries stationed in Korea will visit Busan.
This visit is because the Ministry of the Interior and Safety invited foreign diplomatic envoys stationed in Korea to the "Disaster Safety Policy Briefing" held in Busan to promote and share Korea's excellent policies and systems overseas.
At the policy briefing held at 2 p.m. at The Westin Josun Busan, presentations will be made on ▲ Ministry of the Interior and Safety ▲ Ministry of Justice ▲ Ministry of Employment and Labor ▲ National Police Agency ▲ Busan Metropolitan City ▲ Disaster safety policies for foreigners residing in Korea ▲ Foreigners' immigration, quarantine safety management, self-quarantine, special entry screening ▲ Industrial accident prevention and support policies for foreign workers ▲ Crime prevention education for foreigners ▲ Local government-level foreigner safety management and support policies, explaining effective Korean policies to the foreign diplomatic envoys stationed in Korea.
After the institutional policy briefing, they will directly tour various policy sites in Busan.
Today, they will visit the Busan 119 Safety Experience Center to experience fire response and emergency dispatch fire safety, and tomorrow, they will visit Eco Delta City to observe the smart city project and address-based robot delivery demonstration.
Busan City will actively promote the 2030 Busan World Expo bid to the foreign diplomatic envoys visiting Busan through this briefing.
Before the event, they will be invited to the Bukhang Promotion Center to introduce the planned site for the 2030 Busan World Expo and promote the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo together.
At the welcoming luncheon held at The Westin Josun Busan, Lee Seong-gwon, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, will attend and ask the foreign diplomatic envoys stationed in Korea to support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Deputy Mayor Lee Seong-gwon said, "I extend a warm welcome to the foreign diplomatic envoys visiting Busan through this briefing, and I also thank the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for deciding to hold the event in Busan," adding, "I ask for the interest and support of the foreign diplomatic envoys stationed in Korea for the 2030 Busan World Expo, which will be a place where the international community comes together to find solutions to new challenges facing humanity."
