Hyundai Rotem announced on the 26th that it conducted environmental cleanup activities around Wangsong Lake and Geumcheon Stream in Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 23rd.
On that day, Hyundai Rotem employees participated in "eco-plogging," collecting trash while walking to clean up the areas around Wangsong Lake and Geumcheon Stream. They also contributed to making the rivers clearer and cleaner by throwing EM soil balls into the water. EM soil balls are made by fermenting a mixture of loess and microorganisms, which help purify water and eliminate odors.
This activity was carried out as part of the "Gyeonggi Southern Clear River Social Contribution Project" organized by the Gyeonggi Water Resources Headquarters and the "One Company, One River Revitalization River Cleanup Activity" implemented by Uiwang-si. It was arranged to foster cooperation between the public and private sectors in managing local river water quality to ensure stable water supply in the area. Along with Hyundai Rotem, employees from local institutions such as Uiwang City Urban Corporation and Korea Rural Community Corporation, who share the purpose of environmental cleanup, also participated in the activity.
