Prosecution Indicts Gaeseoyeon Without Detention Over Claim "Cho Kuk's Daughter Drives Porsche"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The operators of the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon), which claimed that Cho Min, the daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, drives a Porsche, have been indicted without detention.
According to the legal community on the 23rd, the Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Park Hyuk-soo) indicted lawyer Kang Yong-seok, former MBC reporter Kim Se-ui, and former Sports World reporter Kim Yong-ho on the 21st without detention on charges of defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
Kang and others are accused of making false statements that Cho Min "drives a red sports car" by revealing photos of a Porsche vehicle parked at the Pusan National University School of Medicine on YouTube in August 2019.

Separately from the criminal case, former Minister Cho and his children filed a lawsuit against Gaseyeon claiming damages, and received a partial compensation ruling in the first trial on June 1.
