‘Yeoksam Senior Health Care Center’ Opens on October 4
[Seoul District News] Gangnam-gu to Operate 1:1 Customized Health Management Program by Advance Reservation from October 4
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Seongmyeong Jo) will operate the "Yeoksam Senior Health Management Center," responsible for residents' health management, on the 2nd floor of the Yeoksam 1-dong Community Service Center starting October 4.
Yeoksam 1-dong has had limited access to public health centers, resulting in a high demand for continuous health management programs. The newly opened "Yeoksam Senior Health Management Center" will have visiting nurses on site, providing one-on-one customized health management services and preventive education through tailored health screenings and consultations.
The center will initially conduct basic health surveys and tests (blood pressure, blood, blood sugar, cholesterol, depression, cognition, etc.) and assist with follow-up care through re-examinations every six months. However, for blood tests, visitors must fast for 8 hours prior to their appointment. In the future, the center plans to operate small group health programs for seniors who require ongoing health management.
The service is available to seniors aged 65 and older residing in Gangnam-gu, as well as health-vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients. Operating hours are every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Use of the center requires advance reservation, which can be made by phone or in person through the Yeoksam 1-dong Community Service Center.
