Trade Association "Actively Welcomes" Korea-Japan Summit Meeting
"Expectations for Expanded Human Exchange and Intercompany Cooperation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) expressed a welcoming stance on the brief Korea-Japan summit held between President Yoon Suk-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in New York, USA, on the 22nd.
In a statement released that day, KITA said, "We actively welcome the Korea-Japan summit that opened the way for improving bilateral relations," and emphasized, "We hope this will serve as a turning point to accelerate the expansion of human exchanges and cooperation between companies, injecting new vitality into our trade industry, which is facing difficulties due to the restructuring of global supply chains, high exchange rates, and high interest rates."
