According to the legal community on the 22nd, the HCIC Investigation Division 1 (acting chief prosecutor Lee Dae-hwan) summoned former Navy lieutenant general A, who is suspected of embezzling unit funds, last week as a suspect on charges including abuse of authority and conducted an investigation.
The HCIC received cases involving A from the military prosecution last month. A was criminally charged by the Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters in May for purchasing supplies for official residences during active service using funds allocated for other purposes.
