Gwangju Nam-gu "Selecting 61 Scholarship Students, Apply Now"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is selecting scholarship recipients for the 26th Nam-gu Scholarship Foundation to foster local talent.
According to the Nam-gu Scholarship Foundation on the 22nd, this year’s selection includes a total of 61 students: 18 high school students, 39 university students, and 4 out-of-school youths.
To be selected as a scholarship recipient, the applicant student or their parent (father or mother) must have been registered residents of Nam-gu and lived there for more than one year as of the announcement date, and must meet the eligibility criteria for each category of high school or university student.
Selected university students will receive a scholarship of 1,000,000 KRW, while high school students and out-of-school youths will receive 500,000 KRW.
Applications can be submitted by either the student or their parent by visiting the Nam-gu Scholarship Foundation office located in the Education and Sports Department on the 7th floor of Nam-gu Office and submitting the required documents.
The application period is until 6:00 PM on October 14.

The Nam-gu Scholarship Foundation plans to announce the list of selected scholarship recipients on November 7 after document screening and the Scholarship Selection Committee meeting.
