Korea Corporate Governance Service Changes Name to 'Korea ESG Standards Institute'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] The Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS) announced on the 22nd that, in celebration of its 20th anniversary, it will change its name to the "Korea ESG Standards Institute" to signify its commitment to becoming the nation's leading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) specialized institution.
The new CI, designed in the shape of a compass, symbolizes the direction ESG should take in the domestic capital market. While retaining the well-known English acronym 'KCGS' recognized by overseas institutions, the English name will be reinterpreted as the "Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability."
