Yeonggwang-gun to Host 'Joseon Tongsinsa Performance' at the Seoul Arts Center
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 22nd that on the 6th of next month at 7 p.m., a performance titled ‘NEW Joseon Tongsinsa,’ selected for the 2022 Culture Sharing Project with Arts Centers Across the Country, will be held at the Yeonggwang Arts Center Grand Theater.
As the first planned performance of 2022 at the Yeonggwang Arts Center Grand Theater in the With-Corona era, it is expected to be a show that rekindles the great cultural spirit of Yeonggwang.
This performance will be held together with the Ansan City Traditional Korean Music Orchestra (conductor Im Sanggyu), which widely promotes the excellence of Korean traditional music while bridging and leading tradition and the future. It will feature Master Kim Bonggon from Cheonghakdong, traditional Korean music sisters Kim Dohyeon and Kim Dahyeon, and singer Lee Seon, presenting timeless masterpieces and exquisite performances showcased on Mistrot 2.
The event is hosted by the Korea Culture and Arts Federation, organized by Yeonggwang-gun and Ansan City, and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts Council.
In particular, the fantastic dance performance by the B-boy Traveler Crew, harmonizing with the traditional Korean orchestra, and the Samulnori concerto by the traditional performance group Bisang are expected to comfort the citizens who have been exhausted and struggling due to COVID-19 and satisfy their cultural consumption desires.
Admission is 3,000 KRW for all seats (limited to 2 tickets per person). Tickets can be reserved online via Ticketlink starting from the 30th, purchased on-site at the Yeonggwang Arts Center information desk, or for seniors aged 65 and over who have difficulty visiting in person, a phone reservation service provided by the Yeonggwang Arts Center is available.
