Implementation of Smart Kiosk Sign Language Consultation Service
Issuance of Various Certificates and Card Services Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Shinhan Bank will enable banking transactions through sign language at its automated teller machines.
On the 22nd, Shinhan Bank announced that it will be the first commercial bank to implement the ‘Smart Kiosk Sign Language Consultation Service’ for customers with hearing and speech disabilities.
The smart kiosk is an automated device introduced to handle most banking services provided at simple consultation counters, including ▲new deposit/withdrawal passbook issuance ▲passbook reissuance and transfer ▲issuance of various certificates ▲Shinhan Card services ▲reporting and electronic financial services.
Now, these services can be accessed through sign language at the smart kiosks. The kiosks installed at branches operate during branch business hours. The unmanned digital lounge kiosks and digital innovation store kiosks placed at GS convenience stores and GS The Fresh operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
Earlier, to launch this service, Shinhan Bank completed the recruitment of sign language consultation specialists and customer-tailored training at the customer consultation center’s specialized consultation team in July.
