Superintendent Park met with student athletes and staff who have entered the final training phase before the competition, which will be held from October 7 to 13, and delivered a message of support.
Gyeongnam Sports High School stated that 163 athletes participating in 16 events are training both on and off campus, focusing on adjusting their condition in the final stage.
Principal Kim Kyungyeol reported to Superintendent Park on the 100-day intensive training process and achievements in preparation for the competition, as well as preparations during the event period.
A Gyeongnam Sports High School official said, “We plan to organize two local response teams to ensure the safety of the athletes and provide local support,” adding, “In line with the provincial Office of Education’s advanced school sports team operation plan, we are practicing nurturing student athletes who study, protecting student athletes’ human rights, and transparent management of school sports teams.”
