Agreement Signed to Commemorate Dementia Overcoming Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The police have signed a business agreement with the Dementia Safety Center to prevent crimes.
On the 21st, the Mapo Police Station (Chief Bae Yongsuk) announced that it had signed a business agreement with the Mapo-gu Dementia Safety Center (Director Yang Dongwon) the day before to prevent crimes such as the disappearance of dementia patients.
Through the agreement, the two organizations agreed to actively cooperate in various areas, including ▲promoting pre-registration of fingerprints to prevent the disappearance of dementia patients ▲establishing a collaborative system to prevent crimes such as elder abuse.
This agreement was prepared to mark the ‘Dementia Overcoming Day’ on the 21st and to promote mutual cooperation between institutions for the safety and support of dementia patients.
The Mapo Police Station and the Mapo-gu Dementia Safety Center plan to send pre-registration guidance materials (mail, SMS, etc.) to households with dementia patients registered at the center. On the 27th, they will visit public nursing facilities in the district to conduct pre-registration of fingerprints and crime prevention education for dementia patients.
