[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The International Intellectual Property Training Institute of the Korean Intellectual Property Office announced on the 21st that it will recruit participants for the "2022 Second Half Patent Attorney Practical Training Group Education" from the 26th to the 30th of this month.
Applications can be made by those holding a lawyer's license, among others. The training is scheduled to take place from November 7 to December 8 (5 weeks).
The second half training course newly adds "Understanding of Science and Technology," which is a mandatory course for lawyers holding non-science and engineering licenses, as an elective subject, and expands the e-learning hours for intellectual property-related laws and systems.
Additionally, the training hours for "Trade Secret Protection and Unfair Competition Prevention Act," aimed at enhancing response capabilities to the recently frequent trade secret leaks, will be expanded, and a new course on patent trial evidence investigation has been established to strengthen patent attorneys' capabilities in trials and litigation, which is a key feature.
