Chungnam, 'Seobu Inland Area Wide-Area Industry' Buyeo Project to Be Completed Within the Year
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Western Inland Area Wide-Area Tourism Development Project in the Buyeo region will be completed within this year. This project has been promoted since 2017 by Chungnam, Sejong, Jeonbuk, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to the province on the 21st, the Buyeo region Western Inland Area Wide-Area Tourism Development projects, ‘Baekje History Neoul Old Road’ and ‘Bansan Reservoir Waterfront Park’ construction projects, are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
The Baekje History Neoul Old Road is a project that links amphibious bus tours along the Baekmagang River (3.5 km section) in Sinri, Gyuam-myeon, Buyeo-gun, the Baekje History Reenactment Complex, and waterfront tourism hub facilities, providing tourists with experiences and attractions such as sky bicycles, garden trains, observatories, and night lighting. The total project cost amounts to 14.13 billion KRW.
The Bansan Reservoir Waterfront Park is a project to create a park and walking trails centered around Bansan Reservoir in Seokuri, Gyuam-myeon, Buyeo-gun, providing a space for local residents and tourists to rest. The total project cost is 9.92 billion KRW.
The province plans to complete the Western Inland Area Wide-Area Tourism Development projects by 2026. Additionally, starting next year, tourism promotion projects in the Western Inland Area will be conducted in parallel, including tourism product development and hosting festivals and events linked to the completed tourism facilities.
