KIOST has provided specialized training programs tailored for the navy by utilizing marine big data based on its research results and experience in marine science around Korea's surrounding waters.
Additionally, experts in oceanography and underwater acoustics have been dispatched as instructors to the Navy Education Command, contributing to enhancing the navy's expertise.
The short-term specialized training course began in 2016 and is now in its 8th iteration this year.
The curriculum is designed for naval officers and non-commissioned officers to systematically educate them with fundamental marine science theories necessary for practical work, various field data, and research cases, enabling immediate application in their duties.
