Uiryeong-gun will hold a forest experience event called "Let's Play in the Forest!" using acorns on the 24th of this month, October 1st, and 24th to attract not only local residents but also visitors from outside the area.
"Let's Play in the Forest!" is a forest experience event where visitors to the recreation forest can make character straps themselves by using the "Jagulsan Dokkaebi" character, created to promote the Dokkaebi Golden Cave scheduled to be completed next year, and the "Jagulsan Acorns" that grow naturally within the recreation forest.
"If you make characters using acorns, doesn't that mean the food for wild animals in the Uiryeong area disappears accordingly?"
Uiryeong-gun explained that there is no need to worry about such concerns and criticisms by applying a clever item.
The county applied a meticulous method by leaving the "nut" part of the acorn intact and only collecting the husks (shells) to be used in the visitors' "character strap" making experience, thus preserving the food for wild animals.
