Mokpo National University Wins Excellence Award at Arduino Hackathon Camp
[Mokpo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] The Engineering Education Innovation Center at National Mokpo University in Jeonnam hosted an 'Arduino Utilization Hackathon Camp' on the 16th and 17th at the seminar room on the 1st floor of Jeonnam National University G&H Hub. The event was organized by the Joint Engineering Education Innovation Center, a network of national universities in the Honam region.
Supported by the National University Development Project Group, the Joint Engineering Education Innovation Center of national universities in the Honam region jointly plans and operates educational programs in new future industries responding to the 4th Industrial Revolution to meet industry demands. For this first event, a total of about 40 students from 15 teams across 5 universities in the Honam region participated.
The team ToTheTop (Kang Min-ji, Yang Seon-ah, Park Seo-rin), representing Mokpo University, won the Excellence Award, receiving the Engineering Education Innovation Center Director's Award from Jeonnam National University.
Kang Min-ji, a sophomore in the Convergence Software Department and leader of the ToTheTop team, said, “At first, there were difficulties during the Arduino Utilization Hackathon Camp, but through working together with team members to solve problems, I realized the importance of teamwork. Listening to the startup special lecture helped me understand how the knowledge I am learning can be applied in society and how it can be helpful. It was a meaningful time that showed me the direction for future learning.”
