Kwon Nam-ju, CEO of KAMCO, Donates 40 Audiobooks to the Federation of the Visually Impaired
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunju Lee] On the 19th at 2 p.m., Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) held a 'Donation Ceremony for the Audiobook "Sounds Heard with the Heart Season 8" for the Visually Impaired' on the 3rd floor of the BIFC headquarters in Busan.
"Sounds Heard with the Heart Season 8" was produced with a total of 40 books, including picture-description audiobooks for the creative development and learning support of children and adolescents, as well as bestsellers and books in the fields of education and philosophy. A total of 100 participants, including 50 public participants and 50 KAMCO employees, took part in the production from November last year to March this year over five months.
On this day, KAMCO donated the produced audiobooks to the Korea Blind Union, and the donation ceremony was attended by KAMCO President Namju Kwon, Korea Blind Union Chairman Youngil Kim, Head of the Community Chest of Korea Kyunghee Kim, and volunteer contributors.
The production and donation of audiobooks for the visually impaired is a representative social contribution activity of KAMCO that started in 2014. The purpose is to help visually impaired people, who are in knowledge and cultural blind spots, accumulate broad knowledge and experience by producing audiobooks of various genres through voice donations from the general public and KAMCO employees.
