This event was hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Daejeon Office of Education under the slogan "A Contest of Dreams and Talents, a Vigorous Challenge Toward the Future." Jeonnam participated with 127 contestants in 16 categories and won a total of 37 medals.
The school with the most awards in Jeonnam was Yeosu Information Science High School with 8 medals (1 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze), and three other schools including Jinseong Girls' High School produced gold medalists.
