View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] After Joo Ho-young, the newly appointed floor leader of the People Power Party, was elected at the party members' meeting held at the National Assembly on the 19th, the party leadership took a commemorative photo.
Joo Ho-young, a five-term lawmaker and the new floor leader, was elected with the support of 61 out of 106 members who participated in the vote at the members' meeting held that day. Lee Yong-ho, a two-term lawmaker who competed in a head-to-head race, received 42 votes, exceeding expectations.
The election result is interpreted as a significant number of party members checking the 'Pro-Yoon group' within the party.
