Seoul St. Mary's Hospital and Femto Biomed Sign Joint Research Agreement on Cell Therapy

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital announced on the 19th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a mutual cooperation system, including joint research on cell therapy products with Femto Biomed.
The two institutions plan to develop anticancer immune cell therapies through ▲ joint research cooperation on cell therapy products ▲ utilization of research and development infrastructure such as facilities and equipment ▲ exchange of trends and latest technology information related to joint research on cell therapy products.
Yoon Seung-gyu, director of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, said, "Seoul St. Mary's Hospital was the first university institution in Korea to establish a cell processing facility GMP, an essential facility for cell therapy, and has been conducting various immune cell therapy and stem cell research using it. We hope that the cell therapies developed through close cooperation will become new hope for patients suffering from diseases."
Lee Sang-hyun, CEO of Femto Biomed, stated, "Through the ‘CellShot Real-time Transfection’ process, which has established a unique technological domain for delivering various genetic materials including mRNA, we will strive to strengthen the global competitiveness of the domestic cell therapy market in collaboration with Seoul St. Mary's Hospital."
