Residents of Naesa-eup, Changwon Special City Unite at the 'Naesa Gwangryeo Hanmadang Festival'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 18th that the 2022 Naeseo Gwangryeo Hanmadang Festival for communication and harmony among Naeseo-eup residents was successfully held at Samgye Neighborhood Park from the 16th to the 17th.
This event was jointly planned and held by three organizations: the Naeseo-eup Residents' Autonomy Association, Naeseo-eup Sports Association, and Naeseo Cultural Festival Committee, based on resident harmony. Various attractions and entertainment such as movie screenings, sports events, and singer performances were provided.
On the 16th, the Naeseo-eup Residents' Autonomy Association hosted the event, starting at 6 p.m. with performances by participants of the residents' autonomy programs, followed by movie screenings. On the 17th, the Naeseo-eup Sports Association hosted side events including the Gwangryeocheon Family Healing Walking Contest, treasure hunt, and magic shows, receiving enthusiastic responses from the residents.
In particular, from 6 p.m. on the 17th, the 16th Naeseo Gwangryeo Cultural Festival, hosted by the Naeseo Cultural Festival Committee, was attended by many guests including Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, and Kim Igeun, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council. The festival was further brightened by popular singers such as Yuho, Nageonpil, and Yoon Taegyu, along with dance performances, acoustic guitar playing, and Taekwondo demonstrations involving local residents.
Additionally, in cooperation with local universities and organizations, various experience and promotional booths such as department experiences and craft-making were operated, providing enjoyment and memories for all age groups. There was also a raffle with prizes including refrigerators, dryers, and TVs.
The presidents of the organizations that jointly planned the festival said, “We feel great fulfillment seeing many citizens come together to laugh and enjoy at a festival held in unity for communication and harmony among Naeseo-eup residents,” and added, “We hope this will be a time of rest and joy for all residents who have endured difficult times due to COVID-19.”
