14 Dead, 10 Missing Due to Landslides from Heavy Rain in Western Nepal
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] A landslide caused by heavy rain occurred in western Nepal, killing more than 14 people, Indian media and foreign news agencies reported on the 17th (local time).
According to reports, landslides occurred in various places in the Achham region of western Nepal late the previous afternoon, covering residential areas.
Authorities recovered more than 14 bodies from multiple sites, but more than 10 people remain missing, and the number of injured is counted as 7.
In South Asia, including India, Pakistan, and Nepal, the monsoon season continues from June to September every year, causing significant property and human casualties.
