Chosun University Holds Seminar on "Reestablishing Korea-China Relations and Directions for Cooperation"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Institute of International Culture (Director Lee Seung-kwon) announced that on the afternoon of the 16th, it held a seminar together with the Chinese Consulate General in Gwangju (Consul General Jang Cheong-gang) and the Korea-China Global Association (President Woo Su-geun).
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations, the seminar titled "Reestablishing Korea-China Relations and Directions for Cooperation" was organized to propose prospects and cooperation directions for Korea-China relations under the newly launched Yoon Seok-yeol administration amid the crisis of the US-China conflict.
At the seminar, moderated by Professor Han Jong-wan of Chosun University, keynote speaker Professor Kim Hee-kyo of Kwangwoon University, author of "The Birth of Jjanggae-ism," gave a lecture titled "Korea-China Relations - Focusing on Inter-state Systems."
Additionally, Director Kim Dae-hyun of the Weemin Research Institute presented on "Prospects for Korea-China Relations - Focusing on Political Diplomacy," Professor Choi Cheol of Chosun University spoke on "Reestablishing Korea-China Relations and Directions for Cooperation - Focusing on Culture and Arts Policy," and Professor Jeong Seong-im of Chonnam National University discussed "Current Status and Directions of Domestic Chinese Language and Simplified Chinese Character Education."
Following this, President Woo Su-geun participated in the discussion with a topic titled "Expecting the Current Diplomacy of Korea as a Middle Power, Dolphin Diplomacy."

Professor Jeong Sang-yeon of Chonnam Science University, Chief Oh Seong-su of Gwangju Maeil Newspaper, and Director Hwang Mira of HNK Korea-China Character Exchange Association, as panelists, emphasized the importance of mutual communication and exchange to resolve conflicts in Korea-China relations and presented various opinions for the continuous development of both countries on the occasion of the 30th anniversary.
