Boseong-gun Conducts 'Anti-Corruption Integrity Education' to Foster an Honest Organizational Culture
For Public Officials Level 6 and Above, Promoted and New Employees to Promote Anti-Corruption and Integrity Culture
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] On the 14th, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it conducted the '2022 Anti-Corruption Integrity Education' for about 200 public officials including grade 6 and above, promoted employees, and new employees in the large conference room on the 4th floor of the county office to foster a clean organizational culture.
The education on that day was led by Jeong Young-oh, a professional instructor of integrity education from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
Jeong Young-oh introduced the main contents of the Public Official Conflict of Interest Prevention Act and the Prohibition of Solicitation Act so that public officials can perform their duties with integrity, free from conflicts of interest and corruption when carrying out official tasks.
In addition, case-centered education was promoted regarding violations of the Code of Conduct for Public Officials and prevention of abuse of power that public officials must comply with, which received a positive response from the staff.
In particular, this education was attended by a large number of public officials of grade 6 and above, raising the will to fight corruption through education and strengthening the determination to spread a culture of integrity within the organization.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo urged, "Taking this education as an opportunity, let all public officials of Boseong-gun work together to create a corruption-free, clean, and honest Boseong-gun."
Boseong-gun has promoted various anti-corruption and integrity policies such as the Integrity Practice Resolution Meeting, Zero Corruption Integrity Education, and operation of the Integrity Self-Learning System to create a clean public service culture. In the future, through substantial integrity policies such as visiting integrity education, it plans to prevent corrupt acts by public officials and foster a culture of fair job performance.
Meanwhile, Boseong-gun's comprehensive integrity grade by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, which was grade 4 in 2018, has risen one level each year, achieving grade 2 in 2020, maintaining grade 2 for two consecutive years, and ranked first in integrity in Jeollanam-do in 2021.
