On the 15th, at the tournament venue Blackstone CC in Jeju City, Jeju Island (par 72, 7,385 yards), a strong wind with a maximum instantaneous speed of 13 m/s hit around 11:15 AM. The tournament committee repeatedly suspended and resumed the event due to the strong wind, but due to worsening weather accompanied by lightning, the first round was canceled at 2 PM. With the cancellation of the first round, this tournament will be shortened to a 54-hole, 3-round competition.
This is the first time this year on the Korean Tour that a tournament has been shortened due to adverse weather. The cancellation during the first round is the first in 19 years since the 46th KPGA Championship in September 2003, and the first round cancellation is the first in 1 year and 4 months since the cancellation of the second round of the KB Financial Live Championship last May.

Chairman of the tournament committee Kwon Cheong-won explained, "Due to the strong wind, the ball could not stay still on the greens of holes 2, 9, and 17. When the ball was placed on the green, it moved by itself because of the strong wind." He added, "After an immediate suspension at 2 PM due to lightning, we judged that it would be difficult to continue today's competition. After consultation with the tournament committee and the title sponsor, we decided to cancel the round."
