‘Cosplay Contest’ to Be Held in Sancheong
Application and Registration Open Until the 23rd for the 22nd Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival Period
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] A 'Cosplay Contest' featuring famous cartoon characters will be held at the 22nd Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival.
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, will present the 'Character Cosplay Contest' on October 1st during the Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival, which runs from September 30th to October 10th, targeting children and MZ generation visitors.
The contest theme is based on the festival characters 'Byeongkkaebi' and 'Yakkkaebi' and the expo characters 'Geumi' and 'Juni,' featuring traditional costumes as well as characters from widely loved domestic and international cartoons and animations such as the Avengers, Geomjeong Gomosin, and Elsa.
Anyone regardless of age or gender can participate in this contest, where the best costume player will be selected through the competition.
The grand prize winner team will receive a cash prize of 1,000,000 KRW, the excellence award team will receive 400,000 KRW, three merit award teams will each receive 200,000 KRW, and ten other participants will each receive 100,000 KRW.

On the day of the contest, professional cosplayers dressed as eight Marvel heroes will engage visitors with free photo sessions, raising the excitement of the event.
In particular, hero costume rentals, prop exhibitions, and on-site photo zones for children will be operated to provide unique entertainment.
