Kidsland Nature Encyclopedia is an Olleh TV original content jointly produced by KT in collaboration with a broadcaster that owns the world's best nature documentaries and Iconix, the producer of the globally popular character Pororo. Featuring high-quality nature documentary footage with Pororo appearing to tell fun stories suited to children's viewpoints, it is a kids' documentary that the whole family, including parents, can enjoy together.
"Kidsland Nature Encyclopedia: World Animal Expedition" is the third series launched following Season 1 Dinosaur & Baby Animal Expedition and Season 2 Shark Expedition. In this Season 3, Pororo agents are dispatched to cities around the world to find animal agents performing their respective missions in each city. Over 20 episodes feature animals such as the Western honeybee, hippopotamus, bat, water monitor lizard, smooth-coated otter, black bear, manatee, African penguin, elephant, reticulated python, and Tockus monkey.
Kidsland Nature Encyclopedia is available for free to all Olleh TV customers, with new animals being sequentially updated every Friday.
KT will distribute a world animal worksheet made from original documentary photos starting on the 19th through the official Kidsland Instagram, which actively communicates with Kirin-i (children using Kidsland).
Meanwhile, KT will hold a special event called "Pororo at Home?!" until the end of the year, selecting true fans of the Nature Encyclopedia to have Pororo visit their homes and conduct an outstanding agent appointment ceremony. To participate, upload a video of watching the Kidsland Nature Encyclopedia series on Instagram with the required hashtags (#PororoAtHome, #KidslandNatureEncyclopedia). From the 23rd, Olleh TV users can also enter via the remote control.
Kim Hoon-bae, Head of KT Media Platform Business Division, said, "Kidsland Nature Encyclopedia is significant as the world's first kids' documentary that helps improve children's observation and inquiry skills. We hope children, who have had difficulty traveling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, will have an enjoyable experience meeting wild animals from various countries through this Season 3 World Animal Expedition."
