[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Eugene Sonic, a subsidiary of Eugene Logistics, a logistics company affiliated with Eugene Group, has attracted an investment of 100 billion KRW to strengthen its competitiveness in the last mile delivery business sector.
Eugene Sonic, established by Eugene Logistics through an in-kind contribution of its delivery business division, signed an investment contract worth a total of 100 billion KRW with the private equity firm Stonebridge Capital on the 8th.
Eugene Sonic operates last mile delivery services under a direct management system. Last mile delivery refers to the final stage in the process where logistics companies deliver products to customers, and it has recently become a spotlight business area as differentiated delivery services have become important, especially in e-commerce.
Eugene Sonic provides customized specialized delivery services tailored to customers based on a fleet of 1,500 directly managed vehicles nationwide, targeting major e-commerce companies and retailers for products that are difficult to handle with general parcel or freight logistics systems, such as frozen, refrigerated, installation, and dawn or daytime delivery.
Its major clients include Homeplus, SSG.com, GS Retail, and Oasis, and it has continuously grown at an average annual rate of over 35% for the past three years. With the funds secured through this investment, Eugene Sonic plans to further expand the scale and expertise of its direct delivery network to enhance customer satisfaction and establish unrivaled competitiveness in the last mile delivery business.
