According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency Highway Patrol Unit, on the 12th at 1:33 a.m., Do Tae-hoon was hit by a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s who was driving the wrong way for about 200 meters after entering the Dongmasan IC exit in Changwon City.
As a result of the accident, the wrong-way driver, Mr. A, and Do were slightly injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police investigation revealed that Mr. A was intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the license cancellation standard of 0.08%.
According to the team, Do was on his way back to Changwon after visiting his hometown in Busan for the Chuseok holiday.
The opposing vehicle struck the passenger side, not the driver's side where Do was seated, avoiding serious injury; however, Do Tae-hoon is currently hospitalized for treatment considering the aftereffects of the traffic accident.
