Postojna Cave is the most visited cave in Europe, with over 1 million visitors annually. It is famous as the habitat of the rare animal 'olm,' nicknamed the 'baby dragon' due to its resemblance to an ancient dragon. The olm can survive without food for up to 10 years and has a lifespan of about 100 years.
Samsung Electronics enabled visitors to vividly observe the movement and habitat of the olm through The Terrace. The vivarium where the olm lives is filmed with a special camera and displayed in real-time on The Terrace's large screen. A vivarium is a space where animals or plants are kept in an environment close to nature for observation and research purposes.
The Terrace supports a QLED 4K display and IP55-rated waterproof and dustproof features, maintaining image quality and durability even in the Postojna Cave environment with 95% humidity year-round and temperatures between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. It also features anti-glare technology that reduces reflected light on the screen and AI picture optimization that automatically adjusts the screen brightness according to external lighting, making it ideal for various events held in the cave.
