Pilot Introduction of Advertising Using 'Ddarungi' for Corporate Name Display... Part of Revenue Structure Diversification
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government will conduct a pilot project for "corporate name co-display advertising using Ddareungi" to enhance operational efficiency through diversification of the revenue structure of the public bicycle system, Ddareungi.
On the 14th, Seoul Facilities Corporation, the agency managing Ddareungi, announced that it will hold a bid announcement for selecting an advertising business operator via Onbid from the 15th to the 22nd. The advertising locations include four places: the Ddareungi frame, rental station guide signs, the Ddareungi app, and the official website. Advertisements can be attached to the 41,500 bicycles and 2,677 rental stations currently in operation.
The form of advertising will be a method of co-displaying the corporate name to the right of the Ddareungi logo. To maximize the friendly and positive image of "Ddareungi," the advertising is simplified to corporate image promotion rather than specific product advertisements. A single design displaying the advertising company’s name, etc., will be posted on all Ddareungi advertising media.
To participate in the bid, the participating company must have "advertising business" or "advertising agency business" registered on their business registration certificate or corporate registry copy. The winning company will be allowed to display the corporate name or logo at the provided advertising locations for the next two years. Detailed information can be found in the public announcement guidelines.
The winning company will be the one that bids the highest price among the participating companies. The design, production, and attachment of advertisements will be carried out within 90 days after contract signing in consultation with the corporation, at the expense of the winning bidder.
This advertising is expected to provide an opportunity to enhance the brand image of companies pursuing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management, linked to Ddareungi’s public values of "environmental protection through carbon reduction" and "realization of transportation welfare by providing affordable short-distance living transportation."

We look forward to active participation from companies that share the values Ddareungi pursues."
