Women's Journalists Association to Hold 'Path to Becoming a Journalist' Workshop on the 16th
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] A practical information session will be held for those aspiring to become journalists.
The Korea Women Journalists Association (President Kim Kyung-hee), sponsored by the Korea Press Foundation (Chairman Pyo Wan-soo), will hold the '2022 Path to Becoming a Journalist' workshop for job seekers in the media industry on the 16th at 2 p.m. in the International Conference Hall on the 20th floor of the Korea Press Center.
The first part will specifically introduce the profession of journalism. Under the theme 'The Talent We Want,' Ryu Yi-geun, Editor-in-Chief of The Hankyoreh, and Yoo Tu-kwon, Director of YTN News Bureau, will give lectures on the qualities media companies seek and the nature of the journalist profession.
In the second part, titled 'This Is How I Prepared,' reporters Yang Soo-min (JoongAng Ilbo), Kim Ji-sook (KBS), Bae Tae-woong (Korea Economic Daily), and Kim Ga-hyun (Seoul Shinmun) will share vivid experiences related to the hiring process.
Now in its 31st year, the workshop has become an opportunity to provide concrete and practical employment information to aspiring journalists. This year, participants can join either on-site or via the online video system (ZOOM).
