The Daegu District Court, Criminal Division 3 (Presiding Judge Kim Ji-na) announced on the 10th that it sentenced day laborer A to 10 months in prison with a 2-year suspension for charges including special property damage, special trespassing, and special assault.
According to the court, A visited his older sister B's (in her 50s) house in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, last March. When B did not open the door, he broke the front door lock with a crowbar and forcibly entered, leading to the trial.
A struck the dining table, assaulted B's head, and then threatened her with the crowbar.
A and B were known to have been disputing over property division.
