Suwon Scholarship Foundation Selects 446 Elementary, Middle, and High School Scholars
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Suwon Scholarship Foundation will recruit scholarship students for the second half of this year from the 14th to the 21st.
The foundation announced on the 8th that it will select 446 scholarship students for the second half of the year and provide scholarships totaling 181.9 million KRW to foster outstanding local talent.
The scholarship support targets students who have been registered residents of Suwon for more than two years as of the announcement date (August 31) and are currently enrolled in elementary, middle, or high schools located in Suwon. The scholarship amounts are 200,000 KRW for elementary students, 300,000 KRW for middle school students, and 500,000 KRW for high school students.
The selection categories are ▲ Excellence Scholarship (45 high school students) ▲ Hope Scholarship (201 low-income students) ▲ Happiness Scholarship (190 students from large families) ▲ Love Scholarship (10 students from multicultural families).
Applications can be submitted online by visiting the Suwon Scholarship Foundation website, navigating to 'Scholarship Program Guide → Scholarship Application,' and filling out the application form through a recommending institution. The completed application form and required documents (such as a resident registration abstract) must then be sent by registered mail to the Suwon Global Lifelong Learning Center 3rd floor (Suwon Scholarship Foundation).
The foundation will announce the scholarship selection results on its website on November 11. Selected candidates will also be notified via text message.

Since its establishment in April 2006, the foundation has awarded scholarships totaling 8.84273 billion KRW to 11,230 scholarship students. University scholarship students are selected in the first half of the year, while elementary, middle, and high school scholarship students are selected in the second half.
