GS Retail Delivers Emergency Relief Supplies to Victims Affected by Typhoon Hinnamnor
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] GS Retail announced on the 7th that it will deliver emergency relief supplies to disaster victims in the Pohang area, which suffered significant damage from Typhoon Hinnamnor. The relief supplies, including beverages and energy bars, will be delivered to Gujeong Elementary School in Pohang through the Korean Red Cross.
GS Retail is carrying out community-friendly activities such as emergency disaster support, support for socially marginalized groups, and environmental cleanup, centered on its nationwide business network including GS25 and GS The Fresh, with the social contribution direction of being a sharing platform that is together in everyday life.

In 2020, they also provided emergency relief supplies to residents in the Busan area and Danyang-gun, Chungbuk, who suffered damage from heavy rain.
They have taken the lead in activities to facilitate smooth recovery from national disasters and to help local residents, such as providing emergency supplies to wildfire victims in Gangwon Province in April 2019, supporting residents affected by the sinkhole in Gasan-dong in August 2018, supporting victims of the Pohang earthquake in November 2018, and delivering relief supplies to areas affected by the wildfire in Gangneung in May.
