Hancom Sends Shareholder Letter... "Transition to a Cloud and AI Technology Company"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Hancom announced a major transformation into a cloud and artificial intelligence (AI)-based service company in the second half of this year. Through the overseas holding company 'Hancom Alliance,' currently being established in Singapore, the company plans to further strengthen investments and collaborations with global SaaS (Software as a Service) companies.
Hancom revealed this information in a shareholder letter sent on the 6th.
First, in the second half of this year, Hancom will focus on expanding AI-based document software, strengthening cooperation with global SaaS companies, and launching subscription-based extended services, integrating cloud and AI technologies centered on the software technologies Hancom possesses. The plan is to enhance Hancom's competitiveness while pivoting fully into a cloud and AI company.
Currently, Hancom is modularizing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and SDKs (Software Development Kits) for each function, including AI features of Hancom Office. The roadmap includes applying these to AI services such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and expanding into various services.
Hancom also expressed confidence in new cloud-based services in the second half of the year. They plan to launch the cloud-based subscription service 'Hancom Docs' and the new 'Hancom Taja,' and will unveil an office metaverse service linking offline and online within the year to vigorously expand the B2C market.
Beyond business matters, Hancom mentioned various efforts for organizational change and growth. These include supporting team cultural and sports activities called 'Colports Day' to improve teamwork, implementing online employee meetings called 'Ransun Day,' and unifying employee titles to 'nim,' focusing on creating a unique corporate culture at Hancom.

Additionally, Hancom selected 'Empowering' as the core keyword for customer value and set a goal to become an empowering partner that helps customers' demands and problem-solving in a cloud environment. Kim Yeonsu, CEO of Hancom, stated, "Aiming to be an empowering partner for customers, we will raise market expectations for Hancom through bold adjustments of subsidiary portfolios and changes that surpass the existing Hancom."
